Bachir Mohamad

Bachir Mohamad is a multi-talented artist and designer based in Qatar, renowned for his dynamic approach to art and design. Born in Kuwait in 1983 and raised in Lebanon, his artistic journey is rooted in a rich cultural heritage. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and has a diverse background in various design disciplines.

At the beginning of his career, Bachir worked on several projects as an assistant to active designers and played a key role in core design teams focused on art and design elements. In 2003, he established his own workshop in Lebanon, offering comprehensive design solutions, strategic vision, and project management. His projects include furniture, textiles, lighting, graphic interiors, and digital art.

Bachir’s expertise was further enhanced when he joined BlueRibbon Design Atelier in April 2012 as a Project Manager and Lead Interior Designer. His work at BlueRibbon covers interior design, furniture development, and product design, with his innovative designs consistently pushing the boundaries of creativity.

In 2014, Bachir earned a Master’s degree in Archaeology of the Arab and Islamic World from University College London in Qatar (UCLQ), deepening his understanding of the historical and cultural contexts of art and design. Concurrently, he took on the role of art curator at Eiwan Al Gassar Gallery at The St. Regis Doha, where he organized numerous exhibitions showcasing both traditional and contemporary art.

In addition to his roles in design and curation, Bachir Mohamad is a prolific sculptor and visual artist. His work in art installations and sculpture demonstrates his skill in using a variety of materials, such as bronze, stone, and other media. His sculptures are characterized by precision and deep conceptual thought, often exploring themes of cultural identity and the human experience. His immersive art installations engage with the audience, opening a dialogue between viewers, the space, and the materials used.

Bachir continues to innovate and inspire in the fields of art and design, leaving a significant mark on the art scene in Qatar and beyond.
